Project Overview
Uihlein Electric is proud to have played a role in enhancing the technological infrastructure of the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin healthcare facility through a comprehensive, structured cabling solution.

The scope of work included the installation of cabinets and racks, essential for organizing and housing the facility’s extensive cabling systems. Uihlein’s team expertly executed the conveyance plan, utilizing cable trays and J-hooks to ensure efficient and secure cable management throughout the facility.
A robust optical fiber backbone was installed to provide reliable connectivity between telecommunication rooms and demarcation points, which is crucial for communication and data transfer. Complementing this was the installation of Category 6 copper cable, complete with patch panels and patch cords, ensuring high-speed and dependable network performance.
Uihlein implemented data center grounding for cabinets, racks, and trays to enhance the facility’s technological capabilities further, ensuring safety and system integrity. The project also involved the installation of wireless access points, facilitating ubiquitous wireless connectivity for staff, patients, and visitors.
Security was a top priority, with Uihlein Electric installing comprehensive camera and access control cabling, safeguarding the facility through state-of-the-art surveillance and access management systems.
Finally, a distributed antenna system was installed to ensure uninterrupted cellular communication within the facility, enhancing cellular coverage and reliability.
Through these strategic installations, Uihlein Electric has bolstered the facility’s technological infrastructure and enabled Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin to deliver superior healthcare services through enhanced connectivity and security.
