Project Overview
Uihlein Electric transformed the City of Milwaukee’s Town Hall into a beacon of energy efficiency and sustainability. This initiative centered on three key components: securing an EPAct Cash Credit, implementing parking structure lighting retrofits, and focusing on comprehensive energy administration.
The EPAct Cash Credit played a crucial role, providing financial incentives for energy-efficient upgrades aligned with federal energy policies. This helped reduce operational costs and demonstrated the city’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
Uihlein Electric enhanced the visibility and safety of the parking lot by completing a lighting retrofit. They replaced outdated lighting systems with advanced, energy-efficient solutions while significantly reducing energy consumption. These improvements ensure that the parking facilities are safer for public use and more sustainable, aligning with Milwaukee’s broader environmental goals.
Working within a government building presented unique challenges, from maintaining historical integrity to adhering to stringent public sector regulations. Uihlein Electric navigated these complexities precisely to deliver solutions that met the standards required for public projects.
